I have an LLM degree in Medical Law and Ethics.
I completed several Expert Witness training courses including Bond Solon and keep up to date with the new developments in this area. I am working towards gaining Cardiff University Bond Solon Civil Expert Certificate.
My approach is to review all relevant documents and medical reports in advance, complete a comprehensive clinical assessment of the claimant and provision of a clear and minformative medico-legal report.
I perform appraisals for doctors for GMC revalidation. I completed my initial training as an appraiser at the Royal College of Physicians, London. I attend refresher courses and Responsible Officer & Appraisal Lead Networking Events on a regular basis to keep myself up to date.
My preference is face to face appraisal (London) but if necessary can perform appraisals using video call (skype).

Dr Yelden prepares detailed, considered and carefully prepared medico-legal reports on neuro-rehabilitation. She has reported for me in a difficult case, at short notice and undertook excellent analysis of rehabilitation provision overseas, as well as in the UK, for an international client which has been particularly helpful to the progress of the case. She is now one of my go-to neuro-rehabilitation experts.
